2-Takt-Öl ist sehr teuer in England - Sie können leicht £ 7,50 (etwa 8,70 Euro) für eine 500ml Dose zahlen. Es ist möglich, viel billiger Öl - 5 Liter für £ 15 (17,40 Euro), aber ich weiß nicht, ob es eine gute Idee ist meinen Trabbi zu diesem billig Öl laufen. Eigentlich dieser billiges Öl verwendet wird, um Microlight Luftfahrzeuge, die ist ein bisschen überraschend für mich - ich dachte, sie würden gute qualität Öl verwenden. |

There have been thousands of discussions on oil for the 2-stroke Trabant engine - I think some people got almost killed...  So please don't let them start again! Just use any 2-stroke oil you can find, it will surely be good enough for that "oldfashioned primitive" Trabant engine! |

Thanks for the tip Wolfi. It's kind of difficult for me - I'm a new owner and I guess I am asking all the obvious questions that have been asked many times before. I have to start somewhere though. I've already met two ex-DDR guys here in England, both were surprised to see a 28 year old Trabbi still running. I'm just enjoying the experience. Hope the other forum users don't mind my obvious questions. Maybe I'll have something useful to contribute one day. |
